A perspective article provides a fresh and distinct perspective on established issues, fundamental concepts, or widely held beliefs about a given topic. It advances and substantiates a novel idea, explores the consequences of a newly introduced innovation, or provides insight into existing advancements and future directions on a topic. Perspective essays are normally peer-reviewed and range from 3000-5000 words. An unstructured abstract of approximately 250-300 words is also required.
