1. Originality and Novelty

  • Ensure the manuscript presents new findings or perspectives in applied nursing and health sciences.
  • Assess the scientific contribution: does the article provide significant insight or innovation?
  • Check for originality; the manuscript must be free from plagiarism.

2. Relevance to Journal Scope

  • The topic should align with applied nursing or applied health sciences.
  • Consider the potential impact of the research on practice, policy, or scientific advancement.
  • Articles that are not relevant should be recommended for rejection.

3. Methodological Quality

  • Research methods should be clear, appropriate, and capable of answering the research questions.
  • Evaluate the study design, sample size, instruments, and data analysis.
  • Ensure that data and analyses are reliable and reproducible.

4. Structure and Presentation

  • Title, abstract, and keywords should be informative and representative.

6. Reviewer Recommendation

  • Accept: The manuscript meets high-quality standards and is ready for publication.
  • Minor Revision: Minor improvements are needed before publication.
  • Major Revision: Substantial revisions are required before publication.
  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet high-quality standards or is not relevant.
